Your household.

This page explains how the Home Pause iPhone app, household bridge, and support website handle information.

Information used by the app
When connected to a household bridge, Home Pause retrieves person and group names, assigned device names and available IP addresses, and the rule states and timer details needed to display and operate internet controls. It stores a local cache and your favorites and duration preferences on the device. The app and its widgets share this information through an iOS App Group.
A fresh installation starts in demo mode with fictional local data. The App Store download contains no household connection profile or access credential.
Connection credentials
Your private connection profile contains the bridge address and access credential, and may include a certificate fingerprint. After import, the access credential is stored in the iPhone’s Keychain and shared only with the Home Pause app’s widget extension through its configured access group. The app makes authenticated HTTPS requests to the bridge you configure.
Keep the original connection file private and remove unnecessary exported copies after importing it. Anyone who obtains a valid profile may be able to control that household’s supported rules.
The household bridge
The household administrator operates the bridge and controls its setup, credentials, and access. The bridge stores the pairing material required to communicate with Firewalla, its configured controls, and command and timer records needed to carry out requests and recover after restarts.
Commands include the selected control, action, duration, and request information. Each household must use its own bridge configuration and credentials. The current service uses a household credential; it does not provide a separate account and revocation control for each parent.
Service providers and hosting
Information travels through the network and hosting services used by your household’s bridge. Depending on that setup, a secure remote-access provider may process requests and connection metadata. This support site is hosted on infrastructure managed through Dokploy; hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, request details, and security logs to deliver and protect it.
Apple processes App Store downloads and may process diagnostics according to your Apple settings and Apple’s own privacy practices. Firewalla’s products and services have their own privacy practices.
No advertising or tracking SDKs
The current Home Pause app and this support site do not include advertising, third-party behavioral analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. The support site does not use an analytics script or an advertising cookie.
Support requests
If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to provide are used to respond and troubleshoot. Please do not send credentials, private connection files, pairing QR codes, or passwords. Remove household and device details from screenshots unless they are necessary for your question.
Retention and removal
The app retains its local preferences and cached data while in use. “Disconnect and use demo” removes the saved service credential from the phone and resets the live cache. It does not remove active Firewalla rules, cancel all server-side timers, or erase bridge records.
The household administrator manages bridge records, credentials, and backups. Contact the administrator to request their removal. Support correspondence and hosting/security logs are retained as needed to operate the service, respond to requests, and meet applicable obligations. Family use
Home Pause is an administration tool for parents and authorized household members. Names and devices shown in the app come from the household’s Firewalla configuration. The app does not create accounts for children or include social features.
